That is what I try to offer, a little piece of myself, with each creation that I send out into the world.

I started crocheting as a means to beat the boredom that had settled in after I lost a job that I thought I loved, and while hunting for the next. 

Once I had the basics down, and had made enough hats, dish towels and scarfs that I'm certain that my family would have staged a coup, I, at the request of an expectant friend, made my first doll.

I've been hooked *insert rim-shot* ever since.

Doll making gives me the freedom to be all of the things that kid me wanted to grow up to be: a ballerina doctor who is also a firefighter and a veterinarian.

Being a Black woman who makes primarily Black and Brown dolls, allows me to showcase the beauty, style, talent and creativity of a group of people that society sometimes overlooks.

I thank you for taking this journey with me, as I continue my quest to make the world a happier place, one stitch at a time.
